I Stopped Chasing Skincare Trends and Healed My Gut Instead

Sharing is caring!

I used to be that woman.
You know, the one hoarding half-used serums, clay masks, jade rollers, LED light therapy devices, and a 14-step Korean skincare routine that made me late to literally everything. When traveling, I would try everything local to see what it could do. So yes, I did have the odd weird rash from time to time because of my curiousity.

And still—my skin?
Blotchy.
Reactive.
And somehow dry and oily at the same time. A true overachiever.

I thought the problem was my products. Or maybe my age. Or the moon phase.
But nope.
The real issue?
My gut.

You Can’t Glow If Your Gut’s a Mess

I started reading about something called the gut-skin axis. Basically: if your digestion’s off, your skin will scream about it. Breakouts, inflammation, dullness—it’s all connected.

And when I looked at my habits (stress-eating cheese, skipping fiber, coffee instead of water, sound familiar?), it made sense.

Instead of buying one more “miracle cream,” I made a radical decision:
Let me fix what’s going on inside first.

What I Did Instead of Buying More Serums

I didn’t go crazy with cleanses or fasts or weird charcoal lemonade. I have done that too though and it worked, but I can’t live like that – never enjoying the food I find tasty and yummy!
I just made a few actually doable changes:

  • Started each morning with warm lemon water (no, it’s not a miracle, but it helped).
  • Cut down on processed sugar (okay fine, reduced, not eliminated 😜). I use honey as often as I can instead of sugar.
  • Added fiber through chia seeds, flax, and veggies.
  • And most importantly… I started taking Prime Biome.

Prime Biome: The Gut Reset That Helped My Skin Chill Out

This little daily capsule became a quiet revolution in my wellness routine. It wasn’t flashy.
But oh… it worked.

Here’s what happened after a few weeks on Prime Biome:

  • Bloating vanished. My jeans fit better. My belly felt calmer.
  • Skin texture improved—like, noticeably. Less inflammation, fewer random bumps.
  • Energy got a boost too, which I wasn’t expecting, but I’ll take it. Because of that I could become more active and because of THAT, I sleep better at night. Who would have thought, right?! 😉

It contains:

  • Bacillus Coagulans – a gut-friendly probiotic that actually survives the trip through your stomach acid. Most probiotics don’t!
  • Inulin – a prebiotic (my favorite fiber ever).
  • Dandelion & Ginger Extract – nature’s bloat-busting, skin-soothing herbs.

If your body had a reset button, this would be it.

Bonus? I Stopped Obsessing

Healing my gut didn’t just help my skin.
It helped me stop obsessing over my reflection, my pores, and whether or not I should be using a Vitamin C serum before or after toner. (Who makes these rules anyway?)

Now?
I keep it simple.
A gentle cleanser in my morning shower. Moisturizer afterwards. And my daily Prime Biome.

The Takeaway

If your skincare routine looks more like a pharmacy than a bathroom shelf… maybe it’s time to look inward.
Literally.
Fix your gut, and your skin will follow.

Prime Biome gave me my glow back. Not because it’s trendy, but because it works. Well, it IS kind of trendy – people are starting to see what it can do 🙂
👉 Try it here. Your face will thank you.
And you might finally throw away that ancient jar of snail cream. 😂 I threw mine out, just couldn’t stand the smell. YUCK!
